Because this is another pretentious album about art becoming pop and we have songs about fuuckking pigs and Muslim religion songs produced by a dj that used to mix at a fuuckking nightclub that's why. Those bland productions combined with those lyrics that only she can understand are just not good enough.

Radio is certainly helping Lorde a lot, but she was already top 30 before she was even played at all on Pop.

Its as if he ignores ARTPOP where she states "Could try to sell you out or I Could show you all the reasons why" or "I try to sell myself But I am really laughing Because I just love the Music not the bling". She specifically says in the song she won't sell herself out and that there is a bridge/hybrid between her artistic vision and her pop music.
