actually POP is anything that popular at the moment, so educate yourself before speaking nonsense
I never said that it wasn't. But in the case of Electropop it actually is speaking about the sound and structure of the music. Where as POP can mean the song catering to the masses, or the sound of the song.
Some people think that just because dance music isn't dominant anymore that means it doesn't do well.
Dance music still sells, it's just the charts are very diverse right now, as they should be, and no one type of music is dominating over the others so it looks like that since dance music isn't as dominant it doesn't sell, but that's not true.
ARTPOP won't bring dance music back to dominance though. The new wave of EDM is almost too "club" sounding (this song included) to work on mainstream radio. An artist or two doing it will work but everyone doing it won't. Plus I don't think the public will get behind the dance music craze again, at least not for awhile.
Not really. It'll always be there, maybe that's what you mean, but if you mean that it's the music of the future and will be the only kind of music people listen to, that's not true. There will always be rock, rap, hip-hop, soul, acoustic, etc.
