3. You're right about Madonna And even I can admit that most of Madonna's #1, let alone her top 10's are forgettable - but she's not part of the topic, which is why I didn't bring her up.
but you tried though

Homeboy I don't know if you saw, but I clearly stated what I said was more important.
It depends on the artist entirely on if the song will be remembered. A #1 isn't more of an accomplishment than a Grammy.
You can't say a #1 will be more remembered than a Grammy because again, it all depends on the artist.

How many people have 18 #1's? And how many have 18 grammys?
18 #1's are much more impressive, obviously.

You're right, which is why it's mentioned in my post.
If I said AIWFCIY is her most memorable song, then I say that Fantasy comes next, I think that implies that I'm saying Fantasy is among her most memorable songs
and I'd say WBT and Hero go before ABMB and MA

The backtracking.
The self-clocking.
The hypocrisy.
The second white flag.

Diana Ross, Janis Joplin, and Tupac never won a Grammy, but they all had #1 hits. All of them are critically acclaimed as well.

18 #1s of course. I'd rather have the GP love my music than a bunch of music snobs. It would be my own music so it would still be amazing and quality music even if the snobs don't like it.
Edit: Oh wait it says better not what you prefer... well my answer is the same

A #1 will ALWAYS be remembered SOME WAY, and will have a chance at always be majorly remembered. Whether 20 years from now, it's covered and goes #1 again or it's used during an event or something such as "We Will Rock You".
Now how is one grammy gonna be remembered? Name 1 Grammy won by an artist, most of public still knows today that wasn't from a few years ago?

Pay him zero mind. He's already gone off topic, backtracked, and thrown in the white flag twice. As long as he knows the same stuff he's in here spewing about G0D rings true for his fave then let him B00K.

Right!
The want to have your music known by a group of people, rather than a whole country is mind-boggling

ATRL this is a PERFECT example when a biatch has been clocked and shut downe! The fact that you are trying to convert the subject of the matter....

1.I don't know how my age changes anything, because my point still stands that AIWFCIY is Mariah Carey's most memorable material in her entire career WORLDWIDE, but since you're on your knees begging for my age, I'm 15
2. nah, I listen to dogs bark for entertainment

Why? The GP are morons. They sent Soulja Boy to #1, FFS. At least the 'music snobs' actually recognize good music when they hear it (well, at least most of the time they do).

If you notice, over 100+ artists have been brought up in this topic so let's not.
Nobody didn't bring up albums and their sales, until you tried too hard. Which have no relevance to the conversation.

It's simple to understand: Mariah's last attempt vs. Madonna's - charts tell an artist's global power, which Mariah's last attempt was awful on charts WW

You're contradicting yourself. You're the one who brought up Madonna - which she had 0 relevance to any of the debates going on in this thread. You were heated to the point where you desperately tried to launch back at me with some fail shade
and idk what the rest of your post means..nor do I think I want to

Well a proper artist would want to entertain and touch as many people as possible. Critics know nothing. They just have their own personal opinion. Appraising music is 100% subjective.

I'm trying too hard? Sis, have you NOT read the majority of the posts in this thread from other posters?
And you sort of answered your own question, if you get what I mean.
