1. Xtina is not a great vocalist. Extremely overrated. In this day and age, anyone can get up on a stage and yell and suddenly they are a great vocalist. Lol no. X is just really loud and really extra.
2. Mariah iswas a better technical vocalist than Whitney AND Beyoncé.
How can Christina even still be in the run for "Vocalist of this Generation"
when she can barely control her vocals? Like..
Aren't they running dry at this point?
No shade, but shade.
Beyoncé's vocal talent is the most underrated in this industry. Beyoncé should have BEEN voted voice of the generation. She has done nothing but improved these last 16 years.
You can pull up Leona and whoever else, but lets see them be a powerhouse vocalist while hitting those runs like Beyoncé.
Her technique is strong, she's very consistent, but her tone isn't really my cup of tea. The heavy vibrato, excessive runs, all the bells and whistles kind of cover up her bland tone and certain emotions. She hits the note, but rarely hits a nerve.
I will say that she is one of if not the most consistent live performer in pop music today.

Nowadays Alicia's technique sucks, her range has shrunk, she's straining to hit notes she can't reach anymore and she most likely has vocal fold nodules... however, her tone (when in comfortable range) is still better.
But we aren't discussing Alicia, we are discussing Beyonce. Stop tarnishing the fanbase you are a part of by trying to be extra.
I don't need to. Lol. I am a fan of Christina and have been since she debuted with "Stripped". One of my fav albums of all time.
I'm not taking away from her vocal talent, but I just cant see why she would be the vocalist of the generation when her singing technique obviously doesn't work like it did in the early 2000s.

Wouldn't a fan of Christina know that Stripped wasn't her debut?
