The Army is starting to become like Xtina stans in that aspect and it is a bit hypocritical.
She's a mother now though & isn't as fit/hot/young as she was in the Outrageous video.
It just wouldn't work.
Anyway, I'm here for an Urban-Pop album BUT I hope it's not TOO urban, i want some hardcore dance songs as well.

Um, of course she isn't as young as she was in Outrageous

She is more fit NOW then she was during the outrageous video...that was when she put some meat on her bones and had sexy curves...this was post-kfed so no she is more fit now.

Only Britney stans would hate the most successful thing to happen to Britney musically since Womanizer. Like I said DOING THE MOST.

Hahahahaha...clock.

I'm fine with the Urban leaning songs but I can already tell the lyrics are gonna be cringeworthy. Like, they're gonna have no relevance to what/who Britney is right now. None at all. And yes I know, lyrics don't mean much when it comes to radio and digital sales, but thats all the songs are gonna be. She'll be the new Rihanna. Ugh.

Nope. It's smart for them to go this direction because dance is tired and urban pop is going to come back so her making her stamp in this phase before it blows up is great timing. The fact is that out of all the genres she started, trendsetted or followed yet put her stamp on the rhythmic pop era was the only era she has yet to put her signature on. She did it with
Bubble gum/teen pop
That cheesy edgy pop
Urban pop before dem other girls did it
Electro and undergroudn dance pop
*Missed out on hip pop (good thing because every pop star was using it and she went the iconic 'toxic' route). Missed out on that melting pot year 2005 where it was a transition and missed out in 2005/6 early 2007 when rhythmic pop was big (i.e. Nelly F., Fergie, Justin, Rihanna, Beyonce, Ciara)
So now she must make her mark on it. She can go the gwen stefani a/c rock pop route when she has full independence and can serve us with introspective/state of grace/mature Britney. Hopefully by 9th album that will take place.
Now she needs to mature a bit but be progressive in sound.
Why should I be sad?/Sugarfall/Outta this world/Heaven on earth/Perfect lover disagree with your notion that she will have music that has no relevance to where she's at in her life.

The point is that I don't like the fact that a ****** feature is becoming her biggest hit since BOMT (or ever in some markets). There is no doing the most, i'm just not here for it. She's not even in the song THAT much either yet Britney stans stay acting like we should be happy that SHE's slaying with a new song.
It's no different to how Xtina stans bragged about MLJ and y'all know it.

You usually clock the tea but no. Not true. The reason the song is a hit is BECAUSE OF BRITNEY. Maroon 5 would have had a hit with or without Christina. I understand your frustation that it will statistically become the biggest hit surpassing BOMT in some countries but that could be said for songs like Toxic everytime and Oops getting top 10/15 peaks when I wanna go and that overrated till the world end outpeaked them.

Not necessarily. Based on what Hit-Boy and Elijah Blake have said - we're getting alot of songs from scratch, not demos passed down so it'll be more reflective of Britney.
And just because the direction is urban-ish, doesn't mean we're going to get tracks that don't reflect Britney. If anything urban tracks can let her open up more than strictly pop would.

I agree. People act as if her team are completely lost. they are not the best but even they know that FF was the last time she could get away with having an album without a strong theme connected to Britney. The reason her albums are so memorable even to non fans are because it represents a certain time...non fans call it the peak years, good years bad years...real fans look at it like this:
BOMT- Teen pop/Bubblegum pop - Good girl image
OIDIA- Cheesy/overproduced pop - Good girl with a wink image
Britney-Teen angst/urban pop - Coming of age/Crossroads from girl to woman image
In the zone- Electro/trancey underground pop - Her free spirit, college, experimental image:
My Prerogative- GH's so leftover ITZ - Her burnt out, rebellious image
Blackout - Euro dance pop - Her dark, out of control, post-rebellious/self destruction image
Circus- Anthem pop lessons learned from a jaded woman - Her comeback phase where it was really a compilation of her strongest themes from albums 1-5.
The Singles collection- Another GH album but 3 had rave, dance influences bringing back the 90s sound that artist having been using for the past 2 years.
Femme fatale-Dubstep: Image ???
An obvious difference

She'll probably attempt to rap on at least one track.

I see no issues with Britney showing femcees how to do it. it can't be as cringeworthy as Madonna's AMerican life rap or Justin's beatboxing phase. Britney sounded fine on the verses of Brave new girl. Some of Britneys talk singing songs show she can flow and ride a beat: Toy soldier, Piece of me, Perfect lover, Womanizer, Shattered glass, phongraphy, etc.

"Love the Way You Lie" is bigger than any Rihanna single sans "We Found Love," and yes, that includes "Umbrella." I love "Umbrella" and still know the lyrics by heart but people do too much when it comes to its success only because it's the song that turned her into a superstar. It's her most iconic single but not her biggest hit -- at least not anymore.
|
Clock. People grossly overrated Umbrella. It was cute but is sooooo dated and not taht quality of the song.

And who cares if S&S becomes her biggest hit. Doesn't this reflect Britney's longevity? The fact that she can keep topping herself year after year? Times change -- Britney's first single was 14 YEARS AGO...obviously with today's promotional tactics, inflated radio airplay and one-click downloads - her old work is going to get topped statistically (and easily).
Y'all should be use to this after 'I Wanna Generic' started toppling some of Britney's records.
|
YASS you better call out I I I wanna g-g-generic hit it it to slay my iconic records....oh oh oh. Dun dun dun...whistles.

Without "Britney, bitch" that beat drop is NON-EXISTENT and remains an unreleased track no one will ever hear from Tulisa's flop album.

Britney is the reason this song is a hit. Bottom line

Yes, I'm aware that times have changed but why did it have to be THAT song, a FEATURE, that's her biggest hit since BOMT?
Why not Womanizer or TTWE?
THAT is my problem.

Sigh...TTWE is so overrated. More like Why not Slave, Toxic, Everytime, Break the ice, Overprotected songs that deserved even more success than Womanizer, circus, ttwe etc.
