True, but if singles are used to promote an album, and the lead single does well, what's the problem with releasing an album, say a week later?
Well the artist is gonna want to perform the lead single a few times well ahead of the album release...again to promote themselves and the new music that will be on the album

Considering lead singles raise awareness for albums, not everyone is aware of the lead single from its first week. It just needs more time to reach more public.

The lead single gathers awareness for the artist. You need to have that weeks before the album is out so the public knows you are back with new music.
A lot of artists launch their lead 2-3 months in advance to the album. Although I want her to launch the lead only a month and a half in advance. Its not unheard of to launch 3 months in advance.

She's done it before, I wouldn't be surprised if she does it again.
