I understand what they're trying to achieve; they're trying to make everything more standardised and factor immerging technologies and consumer trends, and on paper the current methodology might seem appealing. But I see it every day at work; an algorithm we design might perform well analytically, but when implemented it runs like ****

Country artists that stay true to the genre by releasing music that only appeals to the country audience are basically stuffed.
Miranda Lambert isn't going to have significant cross-over success. Brad Paisley likewise. Kenny Chesney isn't likely to either. If a fantastic country song runs in to a mediocre effort like WANEGBT that's considered "country" during its chart run it'll be blocked from a country #1. And that just isn't right.
