Adele has zero personality, an overweight and not appealing, sexy or hell not even pretty to pop star standards yet she is slaying.

One Direction have once again enlisted the help of Ed Sheeran for their still-in-the-works sophomore album.

"I quite like straddling both sides of the industry," he said. "Like, to be able to release an album on my own, which is kind of like an acoustic soul album, and then do a four-track EP with an act like Yelawolf and then write a song for One Direction. I quite like having lots of different fingers in lots of different pies and not really being able to put in a category or a box. I like trying out new things and staying musically driven."

Yeah as if that's what's come to mind of average music buyers or general public. Compared to Rihanna, Katy and Beyonce her beauty isnt as marketable compared to them. Her personality compared to Gaga, Britney and Nicki isn't comparable. I mean she isnt your typical popstar that have the personality plus looks package.
I mean only ATRL or pop forum posters or people updated with such facts knows Adele is funny. Ask someone here who walks the street who Adele is exactly like other than her album and music. Do you even get what I mean? Unlike Britney/Gaga who are very controversial. Madonna/Mariah who are shady bitches.
All of them compared to Adele. Adele has zero personality yet she is beating them left and right in terms of sales and success as of the moment.

I paid attention to them yesterday and Liam and Zayn are like Gods or something, and they are both younger than me.  I want to kiss them, squeeze them...everything. I hope they end up together.

There's no need to get rude with me. Obviously the music is a big factor but it's hardly the biggest in the grand scheme of themes. Plenty of people see Adele accepting awards and performing and giving interviews and see she's a cool person. She's hardly some anonymous being that ***** out Rolling In The Deep and goes into hiding. It's all inclusive and there's no way to separate that.

I'm not sure I'd be here for more than ten minutes of "Moments" type songs, but if they're as happy as he described them I'm sure they'll be a perfect fit.

I seriously don't know if someone in the the band will be successful solo. I mean nobody in the group has the complete package.
But probably Zayn will have the biggest shot because he has the best voice, looks, and I heard he can dance already. He can be an R&B artist to be honest.
And yes, there are artists with no personality (in the public's eyes) who are successful (see: Beyonce).

You get enough quiet stars that do well in the UK - Emeli, Ed, Ellie - all people that don't really talk alot yet their music counts.

I'm so excited for Ed writing more songs for this album. 
And Niall playing guitar on the tracks, too.
So guys, 1D have said they would love to have more male fans. Apparently they're going for a more rock-oriented sound this time around, but do you guys think that will be enough to earn a large number of male fans? Or will 1D unfortunately always be victim to the boy band stigma and never really have a massive male following?
I think the latter, to be honest. I hope they get more male fans, but I don't really see it happening.
