I honestly don't understand the appeal of Harry. I don't think he's the most talented, most attractive, or most engaging in the group, but he'd probably have the best chance at a solo career due to his sheer backing. I don't see the star quality, but that's just me. BTW, Harry wasn't always pushed as the frontman. Liam was initially.

Also, Zayn does have a personality. He just tends to lay low in interviews though.

I am curious to see how Harry's solo career works out. Personally, I'd hope he'd flop because he's tied as my least favorite. I like to see people pushed from the top hard, so it'd be nice.

Well, there are several pop stars that have proved that you can succeed without a personality. However, the biggest factor is that he'll be alone. He won't have the comfort of relying on the other guys to take the attention. The whole "Zayn has no personality" thing is a myth to be honest. (has his dancing videos not been proof enough? lol) I'm just saying that he could change and adapt to a new solo life.

You guys say that now. Things change. Yes, he's always been the most popular, far and away. He apparently has star quality (I don't see it, but apparently plenty others do). However, the tide could easily change - not only for him but the entire group. Nothing is a done deal. He could conceivably flop, especially depending on when he releases solo material and the quality/genre of the material. The odds, however, are ever in his favor.

I did find it interesting that when I looked at Google Trends for the past 30 days, Harry & Niall lead (tied) in news publications, while Harry, Zayn, and Niall leads in search volume (in that order). In the US, however, Harry of course leads, but Niall is a clear second with Zayn in third and Liam & Louis battling for last. Interesting.
