NOT necessarily on M's part (don't give me a warning point) but whether it's her decision can't be ruled out -- someone (either Live Nation, manager, local promoter, Madonna herself) thought the return investment wasn't big enough for hauling everything over there. There's obviously many more facets to it than that, but that's the crux of it.

I'm having a very hard time believing this. Most likely they would have known about the profit margin BEFORE they announced the dates (so why announce and then cancel?) especially when you say it's the same reason for the past 20 years.

It's also nearly impossible due to low public interest.... It's Madonna. Lol I'm really not sure.

One or two shows probably WAS the entire leg seeing as there was already a lack of interest regarding Madonna's tour; and it was as close as confirmed as possible.

The Aussies aren't here for Madge. We just need to accept that.

Yeah, I think that is the main point. Considering how overpriced her tickets are to begin with, she would have definitely still made a sizable profit, even with the added transportation costs.

Apparently that is not enough to warrant paying a visit to fans who haven't had a concert from her in 20 years.

I could understand if she was somehow bound to lose money overall from the concerts, but she's not. She would just have lower profits (that would still be relatively high).

Just because a stadium is booked it doesn't mean a show will happen. Like I said before, they booked a stadium in Germany but later cancelled because of lack of demand. I just think that if there is no clear reason for cancelling a show it's more likely that they saw that it wasn't financially viable to go on.

That doesn't mean her tour still won't be one of the most successful tours this year.
