Everyone likes what they like, regardless of what anyone else says. Critics mean **** to me. There have been plenty of times where critics, or friends told me something was awful, and I loved it. Rolling Stone doesn't matter either. If you are judging music based on a critic, then I feel sorry for you, and you seriously need to re-evaluate your free thinking skills. I'll never understand people who listen to what critics say as the gospel.

I just said I don't like things because critics like them... but the public does care about the perception of music.

I agree, but if they did something like Swedish House Mafia and Usher it could work. I mean it doesn't have to be as generic, but I think you know what I mean. Just like with Benassi and Madonna.

I disagree.. then again, half the public is extremely stupid, so that could be why.
If I were an artist, and someone wouldn't listen to my song based on a review in Rolling Stone, and not because they actually listened to it, and didn't like it, I probably wouldn't care. **** 'em. I wouldn't want their sale anyways.

But I'd prefer she worked with Afrojack, Tiesto, and deadmau5 anyway.
A deadmau5 collaboration would be interesting considering his spat with Madonna
|
I bet he wants to work with everybody, though.
I'm more inclined to those, DJ Tiesto or deadmau5 could do a great job.

I really liked NBTB. It was okay, the vocal tracks were generic, but they were club songs, radio ready and catchy. With a Gaga twist to that I don't see how they could go wrong. However I can see what you're saying about versatility and that could be an issue if he were to decide that he wanted to regurgitate all his past works into her one song
|
A Gaga twist always makes everything better.
-
Also, DJs are busy people, not saying that guaranteed translates directly into the quality of their work, but you know that most of their tracks are done in one or two sessions. Gaga is not here for one or two sessions, she's going to grab you, chain you, feed you and not let you go until you give her what she wants.

Rolling Stones/Metacritic and hell even critics are not the only perception of music. I don't even think most people would realize what scores Gaga/Adele/Madonna got on their own. If anything radio and the on going trend is the true perception of music.

Mmm... Solveig though...
Swedish House Mafia's pretty accessible. People actually do use "Save The World" you know. And they're still building themselves a following.
And Afrojack did work with Pitbull on "Give Me Everything"
I just really don't want her to work with Calvin Harris. Not for now, anyway. Because people will say she's riding the WFL-train.

Public perception is going to be very important for this next era. She can't do this anymore:

I'd love for her to work with Calvin Harris, but as you said right now is too soon. And if Zedd gives her a A B Dancebreak A B DanceBreak structure they'll try and misconstrue that too

Oh, but David Guetta really respects what Gaga has done for the dance world. That's what makes her his dream collaboration. I'm not even lying.
He goes with or without the "DJ" you know.
I want deadmau5's signature "squeaks" in any song he does with her.

Remember how the BTW/EY thing killed the song? Imagine what critics reacting negatively to her debut single or album will do?
Remember the "Lady Gaga is over" newspapers in the Paparazzi video?

Well, Dr. Luke is actually trying to work ahead of the Zedd curve and incorporate some of Zedd's elements before they go mainstream with Gaga. If you heard that Kesha snippet, you'll know what I'm talking about.

I'd prefer the next "Raise Your Weapon" actually.

Yeah, I sorta realized that too. But I wonder if Gaga and Zedd will release their single first in July. Usually Dr.Luke takes about a month if we follow the Domino schedule. Also they're not sure if that's even gonna be the lead single for Kesha. So i'm hoping it isn't. Good point though. And Raise Your Weapon is sooo goood!!!

So from July 8th until August 14th anything could happen and then September we get news. I really think we might get the Single in August and then album news in September just speculation though.

I ran my ass in Target faster than the crowds on Black Friday. I damn near walked out the store without paying

Good for him. If it ever happens his respect should translate into whatever he does for/with her.
You know what I meant when I emphasized "DJ".

I wouldn't mind her working with Nero and Skrillex, though. Here for full on dubstep, not that half-hearted mess.
Solveig can , I only use him for "Hello"
Let's see, any others...?
Oh yeah, Steve Aoki. He *****. He did some good songs with Wynter Gordon, Kid Cudi, Rivers Cuomo, and NERVO and LMFAO (shut up... ), and I think he could work wonders with her.
