She's a slave by definition, but not an actual "slave".

Luke basically owns her, in the sense she cannot do anything career wise again while the contract is open.
And he has no intention of giving her work. As seen by the fact he didn't want anything to do with her for the whole of 2014 before she sued, and he admitted in an interview that he didn't care about Kesha and was more concerned about making Bonnie happen instead.

And also chooses if she gets work, which she won't.

The wording is a mess, but basically Kesha's career is enslaved to Dr. Luke, Kesha isn't an actual slave to Luke, just musically.
