Hello everybody! Welcome to my ~~3rd~~ ~~2nd~~ 1st Best Of, where it will actually go from beginning to end as I actually prepared EVERYTHING before making the thread.

Let me tell you about what will happen this year.

My Top 50 Songs of the Year!
I will be counting down my top 50 favorite songs I discovered this year! There will be many different types of acts here: Western acts, Eastern acts, relevant artists, irrelevant artists, etc! Genres will include: pop, rap, dance/electronic, country, acoustic, and more!

Artist Highscores!
Every time an artist has a song chart on my countdown, they will get points depending on where they chart. #50 gets 1 point, and #1 gets 50! Simple, right? The artist highscores will determine which artist had the biggest impact on me this year.

Dance Floor Spotlight
There are some songs that just didn't make the cut on my list this year, but looking back, I do think they deserve some recognition. This will be my way of showcasing some of these songs. Consider this a "bubbling under", if you will!

Now, lets talk about some things.

1. I will post on your Best Of thread if you post in mine! As long as you have a link in your sig, or link it in your post, I will put as much effort into my post in your thread as you do in mine. If you feel like I forgot, just pop me a reminder or something! I can be forgetful sometimes.

2. I will not respond to posts like "idk ha *mariahcarey.gif*" just so you can get me to post in your thread. I'd rather you post some silly banter like "Wow cute formatting there Hug

" than that.

3. Unless the exception above, I will try to respond to everyone who posts a comment in my thread here. If you want to have a convo or something then I'm all for it.

4. I will eliminate you from existence if you try it with the kings in my avi. Just a warning before you expose your twinkphobia in this thread!

5. If you decide to stay tuned to my countdown, be sure to read the "Should I give this song a try?" section! I know just clicking on songs that you'll have no idea what they'll sound like doesn't sound very appealing, so that's why I put it there! If the description intrigues you, then give it a listen!

5.5 If you do listen to a song you hadn't heard before from my countdown, make sure to let me know which one(s) and what your thoughts were, so I can return the favor.

Wow you better get into The DJ Is Mine! That still goes all the way OFF whenever it comes up on my iTunes. I usually turn it up full volume and feel all of the slayage flow through me!

And lucky 4 me that is what I was going for. Hopefully next year it's similar but improved.

The Weeknd - Earned It

Madonna - Illuminati
Chart position - #55

Earned It originally was going to be in my year end, but after some revisions, The Weeknd just missed out. I blame not listening to it much, because I still like the song quite a bit!

Madonna, on the other hand, missed out because I simply grew bored of Illuminati fairly quickly, and I wasn't exactly obsessed with the song to begin with.

I thought Earned It was cute at first but the radio stations overplayed it to the point I kinda can't stand it now. When it comes to Illuminati, I really like the demo, the final version not so much.

I am blessed in that I actually can avoid radios because so many popular songs this year annoyed me with just one listen. I couldn't stand listening to a bunch of them in a row in rotation.

I never heard the demo of Illuminati, though! I might have to check it out since I love listening to demos.
