Same here. I loved all the buzz before that movie came out. I loved the speculation and arguments people were having as to what the monster would look like.

I thought we will have Cloverfield 2 this year.

1. Okay, this could be a reason BUT i highly doubt the monster would fit in that thing. It's too small.
2. So? that's like Tarantino making a film similar to Kill Bill and then i make a thread when the trailer is released saying Kill Bill Vol 3. Doesn't make any sense.

I loved Cloverfield.

I wouldn't like this to be cloverfield 2 scince it is not on the same format
like the EPIC failure of the Blair's witch 2 (one of the worst movies ive ver seen BTW)

Cloverfield was one of the best movies I ever watched. It's hard to describe how amazing it is unless you watch it by yourself in the Cinema.

This looks like another Area 51 movie, and I hope that it will have the same hype that was around Cloverfield. It was so much fun, people trying to figure out how the monster looks and stuff.

But I think there shouldn't be a Clovefield 2, they should leave it the way it is, or else they would ruin the movie.

Like I said in the original thread for this, J.J. Abrams has already confirmed this will NOT be a prequel/sequel to Cloverfield.

I didn't get my hopes up. I'm a huge Cloverfield fan, so I've been following these rumors for a while. I
knew what was coming.

When I saw this trailer and saw who directed it, I thought the same thing, Cloverfield. I didn't think it was the sequel but it was very similar to Cloverfield's techniques.

And if this user posted the title as "Super 8" I would gauranttee you everyone would've passed on the thread. Believe me. Then you would have the user bump it 24/7 trying to get people interested in it. This is a film similar to Cloverfield and that is what grabs peoples attention, not Super 8.

And it flopped.

So? Doesn't matter. Would you like if someone posted a thread with Britney Spears name on it but then the actual post was about Christina Aguilera? I mean they're both pop stars, so you know we could do that right?

Whatever gets you success, it's part of life.

When people want more sales/business, they do techniques. Like what if you saw a Burger King commerical with Britney Spears and Lady Gaga dancing with the King in it? You'd probably be tempted to go get some burgers huh?
