FF at anyone believing this baseless conspiracy. Especially after reading question #3. What did they expect her to say. "I believe someone who I probably don't know has taken her"? FF of course not. Either the idiot coming up with this was desperate for a hit post or has little knowledge on the English language. Of course she's gonna use "they" when she doesn't know who it is, and therefore could describe man or woman.
As for the rest of them, I could easily answer what a reasonable person would do:
1. she was obviously in shock. Phoning the police was her priority obviously. Or perhaps asking others around her if they knew anything.
2. a) shock, b) the kidnapper had obviously gone, c) police would have been flooding around the area so they'd be safe and d) the kidnapper obviously wasnt interested in them or he/she would have taken them the first time
3) just a ****ing stupid question in all honesty
4) Firstly shock; a reasonable person would not be able to discuss it right away. Secondly if they were asking questions which were out of order, or throwing accusations, then why should she answer?
5) How the **** is she meant to know what gordon brown has in his head?

Are they in it together now? ****ing conspiracies.
6) it depends where she found it. Maybe to keep it clean if they ever found her. Maybe to keep it as a keepsake or even just as a prayer that they'll eventually find her.
7) probably got lost when they went home or kept by the spanish police.
8 & 9) she was in shock and obviously thought people would blame her for it if she left the door unlocked and lied at the time, till she realised she had to admit she wasnt a great parent.
10) um.. you would be a much worse parent to assume she was safe when you didn't know where the **** she was...

You should call the police right away!
11) maybe the kidnapper took it? maybe the police have it? who knows?
12) How is she meant to know?

Kids are kids. They sleep through everything.
13) false hope. accepting reality is not easy.
14) because Madeleine as a child would be prone to touching, sucking her thumb and then touching, and potentially even sneezing on things, such as her clothes or the suitcases or that cuddle cat. If they took any of that stuff with them in the car, of course there's gonna be DNA in it.
15) people grieve in different ways. staying upset wasn't going to help them, and clearly getting probed by police and paparazzi also wasn't. They had to do something to lift their spirits. It's better than turning to alcohol...
16) As if the Police force is the best and most organized organisation on the planet? Getting the media involved reaches a worldwide scale of individuals and anyone with information can then step forth and speak up.
17) shock. it's also likely that they had a small search round the complex or asked neighbors if they knew anything first, or asked reception.
18) See 8 & 9's answer.
Now any more or can we drop this bull ****?
