Like I get some people jump on conspiracy theories, but this is a very weird case, there's so much evidence for it online too. Like the videos of Gerry laughing and joking about on camera literally something like ONE DAY after his daughter went missing, but he didn't realise the camera was rolling.

It's all very strange.

And also for those saying you wouldn't be saying this if it was your kids missing, I don't think it's as simple as that. This far down the line I think I would be feeling weird at the thought of so much money still going into it, especially when so many other missing person cases don't even get a tiny bit as much of attention/money as this case has attracted. Like what else can they do now? It's awful... but they won't find her, and they probably unfortunately will never discover what happened to her either.

This case reminds me of the one from Australia in the 80s (Meryl Streep played the mother in "A Cry in the Dark" - amazing movie!) - there were also "so many strange things" about that family and their story (a dingo had taken her baby from a tent) and australian media and people started to believe it were the parents who killed the baby. The mother was convicted and spent years in prison.

Until they found the babys clothes somewhere in the outback and suddenly the truth came out.

There is no reason for them to still be continuing this investigation. It's been nearly a decade and they've come up with nothing, they can't keep this going forever. They need to put a rest to it and only pick it back up again if they get a solid lead. There are millions of missing children in the world that that money could be used towards finding and instead it's being essentially wasted on one person that is more than likely deceased at this point. Completely ridiculous.

What you need to realise is the £10m is coming out of out (the tax payers) pockets, and while I feel so ridiculously sorry for the family, and I never expect them to give up hope, this is money that at this point could go to funding other things more important to the UK.

True. But taxpayers pockets are also funding the (excessive) wages of politicians and their ludicrous expense claims. If we cut down on that, and other things which we don't really need to put our money into, then we can do what's right and actually put effort into missing persons cases like Madeleine.

Someone said that the average case gets £2.5k. That's disgusting. And instead we spend it on nuclear weapons
