I LOVE to talk about music (hence the name MusicTalker). When I talk about music elsewhere, however, people get really bored really easily. people talk about their hobbies all the time, yet my hobby of going on iTunes all of the time is considered weird to them!

Any thoughts? Or even frustrations?Has anyone else felt this before?!

Not really.

I think it's the only thing that makes me feel excited but nobody feel interested about talking with me .

However , i have to thank my family cuz they gave tons of different kinds of music as a child

I have a technique to express my music tastes, first i ask the person what is his/her favorite genre of music. Then i give him/her some advice and show some brand new songs ( or just my favorites ). It's very likely that the person will get interested on it .. And then , talk as a parrot if you can

I hate not being able to talk about the chart postions. People think it's nerdy. I find it hypocrtical since people seem to analyze football plays & numbers the same way, yet I can't talk about music numbers & positions cuz it's weird?!

Talking about iTunes is not talking about music imo. Usually if people aren't singing a song, or gossiping, the entertainment world and the celebrities is highly popular to talk about as well.

Hmmm... I guess. Seriously I was talking about Drake's new single the other day, & someone went "how do you know all this crap?!" people
think it is very strange that I know all of the songs way before they do. they think imma music freak. Which I may be proud of by the way...

Oh well, my hobby is healthy while theirs is likely sex, drugs, & any other form of peer pressure. I am glad I'm not into that stuff... Music keeps me plenty entertained

I think everyone talks about music, perhaps not excessively but it is a part of everyone's life to a certain extent. ' never talk about music in the depth that I would here, people as a whole do not analyse music as much as I would like to.

I love music. My facebook is blown up with music videos, lyrics, etc etc. Everyone knows my main topic is Rihanna, of course. My friends hate that, but I can't help it.

People call me the "Music Man" at school and always come to me for the latest in music. Some try to challenge me in quizes of whats new and they always lose So sad

I linked my Youtube activity to Facebook and most of the stuff I favoritie is music.

Some people watch, others get annoyed.

In fact, some bitch I know told me "stop posting videos Ryan, no one wants to watch them". I wanted to burn her up in the SIms 2.

And I sing and dance a lot at school, so people really want me to sing and dance to the latest songs, or jerk it, and stuff. And people always tell me I should be on idol.

Oh yeah, and I kinda have a thing at looking at other people's iPods.

Would you find it offensive or complementary to be called a walking iPod?

Sorry but its because its nerdy, even in ATRL people bragging about knowing it all about charts are so annoying IMO. Its ok to know it all about music, who's new, what's new, but when someone actually memorizes peak positions and number of weeks at number one and stuff like that, it makes me go nuts

I talk about music a lot outside of ATRL. My friends know I'm a huge mariah stan.

I try to talk about new music a lot but people think it's weird I know when things come out and I was excited about Monster & Rated R coming out on the same day. :-/ However talking about a celeb in general (like Justin Bieber ) is totally fine with them, but it's so annoying to me! They always wonder how I know about hot songs months before they do.

Me too, they always tell me I find songs too early and behold, 3
months later they can't get enough of the song.

& I freaked out about TFM & RR on the same day too
