Watch a movie?
Talk to a friend?

Listen to sad, depressing music and wallow.

I usually listen to something uptempo or poppy to put myself in a better mood. That, or I watch a sitcom or go outside for a walk.

Smoke a cigarette
Smoke some weed

etc.

Listen to sad music & write.

Happy or "poppy" music turns unlistenable when I'm sad it just seems obnoxious & contrived.

I get some exercise, whether it's going on a run or playing some tennis or basketball.

I take a nap whenever confronted with a particularly strong emotion.

I watch my favorite TV series.

I pray

Then I realize that whatever that one thing I'm sad about doesn't matter since there are a million things I can be happy about.

Do exercise or watch Modern Family

I listen to up beat music and eat a lot of food so it makes me happy. I hate feeling down so yeah I always try and up lift myself.

If it's something really personal that I can't tell anyone, I would write it all on my private facebook group (me & my clone account), or write a journal on vsco blog
But I mostly listen to sad old pop songs (2000's pop). There was one time that I hid in a corner of my room and cried.

And a lot of sleep could do some magic too

Wallow.

Nap or exercise depending on intensity.

Exercise or listen to sad/depressing music and nap it away. There's no inbetween.
