With the fame era, she was seen as pop perfection. She was the fad. Everybody loved her. But I feel like she ruined her career as "Born This Way" era began. Well not ruined , but caused her to not have longetivity in her career. She was still new , and was seen as a lunatic , man, and disgusting in BTW era. It would've been good as a fifth era. She did good with the whole gay rights thing, but the singles did not connect with the public. I personally loved that but I feel like it killed everything. I feel like if she made ha Pop perfection hits like in the fame era, she would still be here today slaying. Like Rihanna.

Yeah, she did ruin her chances of being the new queen of pop, Born This Way should have been a much prettier era -sonically and visually.

At the same time though, Born This Way is my favorite album by her so I wouldn't change anything.

The constant gimmicks and the need to try to be shocking became the main priority and that's what killed her. Once she was looked at as being inventive with her style, now whenever she dresses in something over-the-top it just looks like she's living in the past and incapable of evolving.
