Why are Poison Ivy and Batgirl paid dust in the Batman films?

The only one that they've been in was Batman & Robin.



Uma Thurman still slays me to this day as Poison Ivy and she made Poison Ivy my favorite villain.
The fight scene between the two of them slayed me too.
They even gave Batgirl some random ass backstory in Batman & Robin.

Poison Ivy should be in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie. Her and Harley Quinn make a great team. She balances out Harley's cookyness. I would've preferred her in it over Enchantress or Nightshade tbh.

Batgirl is paid dust so much so that they are even having a female Robin in the upcoming Batman vs Superman instead of just using Batgirl

They didn't fit in Nolan's Batman Universe. They need to be used in movies and actually contribute something to the film and make it better, not just be used for the sake of being used

Anyway, I don't really care about Batgirl but Ivy is very underrated. One of my favorite female DC characters. I hope they do eventually make a film that includes her.

Isn't the current Robin in the Comics a Girl and Batgirl is still in a wheelchair.

Maybe thats what it based on.

This. She has such an interesting history no movie has really delved into - all they focus on is her relationship with Batman, and even her role as his love interest was severely underwritten in TDKR.

They did Barbara Gordon wrong by butchering her character.
