yeah you can still use Firefox with Download Helper to download videos and VLC works on macs . and yes u will be able to use flash players too and ya u can connect to LED TV using hdmi to thunderbolt . are u gonna get the new Mac Book (thin as hell, pretty but $$$) or a Mac Book Pro (which is cheaper and performs better)

Honestly - don't. iPhone's and iPad's are amazing, but there's nothing redeeming about a MacBook - and I say that as an owner. Avoid the brand obsession and just buy a cheaper, better Sony / Toshiba / anything.

Go for it. You'll thank yourself later when everything is seemlessly integrated between all of your devices. Being able to answer calls and texts on your MacBook is GOD.

I don't have experience with mkv or vob so I can't say for sure, but everything else 100% yes. Go for it sis! See if you can snatch up a 2014 rMBP. They're discontinued and on clearance at Best Buy.

Do it. I used to detest the thought of owning a MacBook but when I finally switched 4 years ago, it's a choice I've never regretted. OSX is simply the superior OS, so much more intuitive and integrated than Windows, especially if you already had an iPhone and an iPad.

You can do all of that, I do it actually I use JDownloader as my download manager. But yeah you can download any files on Macs that you can on Windows machines.

I Googled and found that VLC for Mac supports all of those files.
It would be the Mid 2014 Retina MacBook Pro 2.6 GHz Intel 8 GB Memory for the base model.
