I have a feeling it will play out the way that racism is currently playing out. We've made a ton of progress in terms of race equality since fifty years ago, but it's clearly evident that there are still blatant prejudices and unfair treatment at play in our social institutions.

I don't know about the Bible but in the Quran there is nothing written like being gay is a sin or wrong.
"Come, whatever you are" is the most used sentence in my religion. But the muslims like every other human around the world dislikes gays but that is something by the society. Still don't know why my people hates gays though

within the span of about fifty years (if you look at older and younger generations) you can see that younger people esp. are a lot more accepting of homosexuality. it's hard to wean people out of the bad habits into which they're born. i think, if anything, things like racisme, homosexuality and the ilk will be things that society is eventually bred out of.

that'd be cute if it was true but tons of people depend on religion to fight their fear of death and help them deal with tragedy. people will always need that security whether if it's through religion that we know today or through some kind of equally poisonous belief system that comes in the future
