On the Directioners: “I feel like I’ve let the fans down but I can’t do this anymore. It’s not that I’ve turned my back on them or anything, it’s just that I just can’t do that anymore because it’s not the real me.”

Even if he decided to go solo, why did he skip out on an entire world tour? Even if he felt like he didn't want to be in the band anymore, he should have waited to finish.

In most cases yes but they have direct quotes from him. They could get sued for making false statements and quotes that weren't his own.

One Direction was a job, he didn't want it anymore and he's pursuing other options.

Why do you guys want him to be depressed? I haven't heard many One Direction songs, but they just don't seem fun, or cool.

I'm really not sure what his voice even sounds like tbh, but like Nick J, I've always known that he'd be the one who will be someone with music worth buying.

They asked him what are his plans in this interview and he says he's going to chill and relax a bit. How does that make him ungrateful or his excuse a "disguise"? He's been going to the studio on his own and writing long before this even happened.

What's ungrateful about it? He's been working like crazy for the past four years without taking a break for a band. He probably wanted to pursue a solo career long before this happened and his label probably stopped him from doing it in order to keep milking One Direction.

You don't find it ****** that he quit in the middle of a tour after hundreds of thousands of people had already bought tickets to see him perform? The fact that there are kids who were going to go and it was going to be their first concert? If he wanted to leave, fine, but he should have done it before the tour started or after it was completely finished.

I agree with you.

Nothing is wrong with leaving the band and thinking for yourself, but he should have done it before or after the tour. He has every right to leave since the only obligation he has is to himself. But at the same time, how hurtful is it to let people who paid money down. Even if he had a mini break to sort himself out would have been better than completely walking away. To me that is like quitting a job in a middle of a shift. You have that right but it's more reasonable to quit before or after your shift.
