How many platinum singles does your fav have in the UK?
Just Dance 900k+
Poker Face 1M+
Bad Romance 1M+
Telephone 700k+
Born This Way 700k
The Edge of Glory 600k
are all platinum there so 6 singles.
Paparazzi and Alejandro were so close

The platinum certification for singles in the UK is set pretty high, they should definitely lower it down a little bit.
It's much harder for an artist to go Platinum (600,000) in the UK than in the US (1,000,000).
For example, Blurred Lines, one of the best selling digital songs of all time is at 1,5M in the UK (so it's only 2x platinum and 1x Gold), while in the US it's already at 7x Platinum
Same goes for other songs such as Poker Face, which is at almost 1,2M in the UK (2x platinum) and at 7,2M in the US (7x Platinum).
Are there even 20 songs released in current digital history to get certified 2x Platinum in the UK? Cause I doubt it..

I agree, it should be like this:
400k = platinum
300k is too low.
