'Beyoncé and Taylor Swift made feminism fashionable' - Gemma
Gemma Arterton has claimed that Beyoncé and Taylor Swift have made feminism fashionable.
The Made in Dagenham actress praised the impact social media has had on changing attitudes towards women's rights.
Speaking on Alan Carr: Chatty Man, Arterton said: "Feminism is in fashion, as made by Beyoncé and Taylor Swift. Now that they're feminists, everyone else is."
She added: "I think social media has helped a lot. People like Caitlin Moran have changed everything, Lena Dunham - so there's loads of people who are being more outspoken and being listened to and having an influence. I think it's great."
Stop giving this white girl credit she had nothing to do with feminism being brought into today's culture a 17 year career on feminism I'm glad bey changed it to humanist watch that be the big word of 2015
