A few of my friends find it really annoying, but for most of people I know it's not really a big deal... have you done it or do you get really mad at people who do this?

It's so F*CKING ANNOYING. It's distracting and inappropriate to do when they're a movie that other people paid for, showing.

If you want to text, sit in the last row and waste your $10 your spent, not my problem, but not in front of other people.

I would never do it myself, but if you really want to do it, please at least put your phone screen the lowest brightness possible.

No and I hate it when people do it. In the middle of mockingjay the guy next to me was texting and the light from his screen kept shining in my eyes like bitch watch the damn movie or get out. Nobody is forcing you to stay

I'd text in between. Not non-stop, though. Or I'd check my phone every 30 minutes but not use it for longer than like 40 seconds to respond to someone.

Yea when the movie was really boring (i.e mockingjay) but i always inverted the screen colors on my phone then set the brightness to the lowest and even cover the phone from the side with my hand. My consideration slays

Rarely - only when I really need to.
I put my phone on the lowest resolution though and half of the screen is still in my pocket so it doesn't distract people.
I hate it when people do it though. One time someone held a lighter in the cinema
