Ok but the bit that I took away from that the most was this:
Don't get me wrong, I love Taylor. But even she herself has said that she's never been in love. I once dated a guy for 9 months. I saw him every single day and spent most nights at his apartment, and even now I'm hesitant to call him "my ex" as opposed to "this guy I dated for a bit" because he never really felt like an actual boyfriend, because I never really loved him.
I guess the best way I can describe it is this scene from Girls:
I'm not questioning Taylor's feelings at all. Her songwriting is incredibly honest and what she feels, she feels. I just think that from Harry's perspective, it was nowhere near as serious as what the rest of the world thinks it is. When you're in a really serious relationship, it's solid and it's strong and it's longlasting and you can honestly say that it was love.
It's just an outsider's perspective. Obviously I don't know anything about their relationship, but it seemed like a youthful attempt a relationship (which everyone has tons of) rather than a real, proper, life-changing relationship.
