East-Europe brings Europe down, South Europe is comparable to the average US state and West Europe and Scandinavia is like San Francisco but then way bigger. I'd say that Europe is more accepting to not discredit West-Europe and Scandinavia, which are very forward-pushing. Russia is a seperate continent

Well, it dosen't matter. My point was, North America's pace towards equality is growing rapidly, far more then Europe.
Massachusetts btw, was the first state in the US to legalize same sex marriage in 2004. Only after the Netherlands, Belgium and some of Canada. So.
