I just don't get this girl. I always see her being pointed to as an example of good mainstream British pop spectacle and it doesn't add up
Her music critically panned, her production is incredibly poor and cheap (which is strange when you consider how big of a star she is...), she isn't a good singer, and she lacks personality. The only thing she's good at is performing while lipping, and that's not a good look.
I just don't get how she's seen as a good pop star. What do you think?
Her singles had hardly ever been panned with the exception of maybe one or two, and she definitely has personality - you just haven't been exposed to it. She's never really made an effort to expand outside of Europe.

Right? And when Cheryl has had a BIG hit in countries that Selena is barely even charting in.
