Cheryl is fairly rated. She gets about even amount of love and hate on ATRL, which is deserved I think: her music isn't absolutely terrible, but it's not very interesting either.

Essentially. However, Britney in her prime had a bit more stage presence since she did have more practise performing than Cheryl as a child.
she has a very pretty voice. idg how ppldont see that? also she is stunning and dances like no other British pop girl so ya she slays. I agree her production of some songs is really cheap and she has alot of album fillers which is why i do not own any album of hers but in each album you find a few gems! like her 1st album had 3 Words which was incredible. Her second album had Promise This and Amnesia which I loved! her htird had Call My Name and Ghetto Baby ect... so she has gems in her discography.
also i dont know who is advising you about your brit pop music but she isnt seen as "quality music"...especially not in the UK..infact the hwole "nations sweetheart" thing the media created for her sort of fired back at her unfortunatly.
she trul is the Posh Spice of Girls Aloud tbh.. so famous, successful and pretty that it bothers the peasants.

Just because you haven't heard of them doesn't automatically make them talentless. Again, I doubt you've even listened to the majority of her music. This isn't even a fair comparison as Britney has always undoubtedly had a bigger label to get all these producers for her.
Cheryl creates solid pop music with the people she works with. I mean, she did one thing that Britney couldn't - get a great album out of will.i.am.

I just don't get this girl. I always see her being pointed to as an example of good mainstream British pop spectacle and it doesn't add up
Her music critically panned, her production is incredibly poor and cheap (which is strange when you consider how big of a star she is...), she isn't a good singer, and she lacks personality. The only thing she's good at is performing while lipping, and that's not a good look.
I just don't get how she's seen as a good pop star. What do you think?
