yeah its a dance at the start of the school year like around Fall. its not as serious as prom tho its more of a welcome back to school party after a football game win.

I went to the homecoming game. That was it.
Dances aren't my thing, so I didn't attend.

I really don't like dressing up in a suit, and I'm scared to go in a dress so I'm not going to any school dances.
I'll just have my own party by myself at home.

You dont have to really wear a suit/dress to Homecoming tho. These days you wear club outfits to Homecoming

school doesn't even have a homecoming dance, we have a parade and the homcoming people are announced during halftime at the football game that day.
I was homecoming princess last year tho.
