The DMV Refused To Give A 16-Year-Old Boy His License Until He Removed His Makeup.

Chase Culpepper, a 16-year-old from South Carolina, went to take his license picture with his mother at the DMV in Anderson, S.C., and was told he would have to remove his makeup first.

The DMV employee told Chase that he “could not wear a disguise” to take his license picture, he told WYFF4, because he “did not look like a boy.”

Although Chase ultimately took his makeup off for the photo, he said he now regrets changing his look and wants to retake his photo, which the agency will not allow.

While the DMV refuses to allow the teen to retake the photo, the family is now considering legal action.

Understandable restriction. If a woman goes in with excessive makeup they will tell her to remove it as well.

If he wears the makeup every day, then WITH the makeup is how the cops will see him in person. It's not like the kid just said "lol you know what would be funny?" and did it to dick around.

Gurl where did you get transgendered from. It doesn't mention him being trans anywhere in the article and he seems happy with his sex. He just likes wearing makeup.

Makes absolutely no sense. First off if makeup is a disguise then every single female that walks in there with any amount of makeup on would be asked to remove it and they're not. Secondly it's actually more of a disguise for him to take the picture with no makeup on because he wears makeup on a day to day basis. So that would cause more confusion in case he did get pulled over and he didn't resemble the picture on his ID. It's just a bunch of baloney to hide the obvious transphobia and shame if anybody agrees with the DMV.

But he still looks the same without makeup, and the fact that it says, "because he 'did not look like a boy.'" disgusts me, but because "Rules are rules" he can't wear the makeup? FOH
