I've been eyeing Boost Mobile/iPhone 5 lately bc i'm a shady bitch and don't like contracts. Whats the best service to yall?

Straight Talk is the best option if you don't want a contract because you get unlimited data (throttled at 5GB I think, still plenty) and unlimited talk and text for $45 a month. It goes through AT&T's towers so you get great service basically anywhere... including LTE.

Really, using any major carrier besides T-Mobile is a bad idea because their policies are designed to **** you over, long term or short term. T-Mobile is only a good choice if you're in a big enough city to have solid coverage.

This depends way too largely on where you live and travel so there really isn't an answer.

T-mobile has great customer service and plans though, so if you are fine with thier coverage based on your area they are my favorite of the big 4.

My problem with Verizon is that they don't offer unlimited data.

AT&T has great coverage, decent prices, and their customer service reps are always sweet. T-Mobile is pretty good too (and they have plans that require no contract).

Straight Talk is the way to go then. You're not going to find any carrier offering "unlimited data" that doesn't throttle after 5GB. Your only other option is to pay for higher tiered plans which would then not be unlimited and would be much more costly.

How is it unlimited if it gets capped?

I assumed everyone knew unlimited data meant, unlimited data access, but with 2G speeds after 5GB of data access; it's even specified on each respective carrier's websites and ads.

But this happens with pretty much every major phone company so I don't know why people still ask - as it's been going on for years on years - but I also wonder why it's still a big thing seeing as how wi-fi is pretty much everywhere.

That's just the way it is. You're not going to find truly unlimited data ever again because customers would have a field day downloading movies at LTE speed, which is often faster than broadband internet, and that would cost the carriers a lot of money to provide. 2G/Edge speeds are tolerable, it isn't like you'll have no access at all when you reach the cap.

And actually, it turns out that Straight Talk throttles at 2.5GB. Still a great deal for the price, but yeah.

I see what you mean though. We call that being soft capped. Still access everything but on a restricted bandwidth.

Ive been with AT&T for the past 3 or years, no complaints other than the price. I plan on switching to Tmobile soon though because they will pay my ETF. .

O2 or EE for UK.

Here is probably verizon and AT&T but sprint has the better deals then the other 2 but it's coverage is trash
