It bugs me. I go to forums and such and even on Last.fm where people who listen to the EXACT OPPOSITE of your music and say that you have the worst music taste ever.

But go FIGURE, obviously if you listen to the EXACT OPPOSITE you would come up with something that idiotic. It's biased if you tell me...

Like for example this one dude who listens to Rock/Classic Rock/Death/Emo had the guts to tell a POP listener I had bad taste.

So what is good taste? Can someone clarify?

To me, it doesn't matter what you listen to. Music is music. As long as you enjoy it, why is that bad? Not everyone is going to enjoy the same thing. If it's got a beat, who cares!? Just enjoy it! Music is something you shouldn't put others down for. Music is part of our lifes, part of our souls. No one should be put down for the music they enjoy. Yes, you don't have to enjoy it, but you shouldn't, disregard, put others down for their music habits. Live life!!!

So to answer my question: What is the real definition of "Good Music"?

Answer: Whatever your soul desires, now stfu and do the same!

Good music is whatever you listen to. No one can tell you what is good or not. If you think it's good music (even if it's Loli Loli, Soulja Boy, etc etc), then so be it.

I've known some teenagers to not listen to Mainstream music at all. All they really listened to was Orchestra and like Christian music, etc.

And I'm like o.O. How could you not listen to some kind of "Mainstream" music out there? But to each one's own. They were brought up differently.

The definition depends on the person. I define good music as something that has a meaningful message, or just something that I can listen to when I want to relax. Different people have different opinions on what good music means to them.

I think good music is something with a relatable message and a good voice and instrumentation. But you don't have to be an Emmy Rossum, Vanessa Carlton, or Micheal Jackson to have good music. Simple dance music from people like Gwen, Hilary, Madonna or even Chris Brown can have significant effects on people with relatable lyrics or just about getting up and dancing. So overall, its ultimately what you believe is good and what you like personally.

Basically good music is whatever the person thinks is, and nobody can change it. Otherwise, if not, ATRL would not have a purpose.
