Which televisoin show did you prefer Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the original) or Angel (the spin-off)?

Buffy. I mean there wouldn't be Angel without Buffy since he became famous thanks to her

Angel was too dreary for me, some good moments but nothing tops Buffy for me although Buffy does have some bad episodes Beer Bad, Go Fish, most of the 1st season, and the episode where Riley and Buffy have sex the whole episode

This is very true.

The only time that Angel got really messy was the whole storyline with Cordelia and Connor in the 4th season. That was literally the worst writing between both of the shows.

Don't forget the episode with human meat in the hamburgers

Yes all of season 4 was a bit of a mess. But still better than Buffy's worst season (7)

And, season 6 of Buffy was the worse. For crying out loud, Buffy beat Glory (a god) but she couldn't beat Willow. I mean... the inconsistency.

Buffy slays, I mean, she is the slayer after all.

I'm currently watching season 7 of Buffy and 4 of Angel. I hated Angel's first season, but since halfway through season 2 I've enjoyed it more than Buffy.
Don't feel like I should vote until I finish both though.

Buffy overall was better. Season 2, 3 and 5 are amazing. Angel had some great episodes but some horrible arcs. Season 4 is unwatchable IMO.

Buffy, it had more good seasons than Angel IMO.

Buffy > Angel.

However, Angel was a great spin off. One of, if not my favorite spin off of a television show ever. I also loved the integration of Buffy coming to Los Angeles, and Angel coming to Sunnydale.

Agree with S4 but S3 was amazing

Just a heads up, both season 7 of Buffy and season 4 of Angel are not high points for either show.

s3 turned into a mess during the end and s4 started off promising but became a giant mess

The last 2 episodes of Angel season 2 are like.... what? Why? I seriously hate them
