I've never understood why swearing upsets people so much. They are just words. I understand the issue with words that are derogatory aginast specific groups of people, but words like "a**, f*ck, bitch, damn, hell etc. Why do they offend people? Why would hearing someone say one of those words on TV cause you so much distress that you complain to a TV network? I swore as a child and was subjected to swearing and I am a well adjusted and intelligent adult. I really don't understand it.
