Was there any album by a female singer released after May 2011. (2 years and 4 months) that sold more copies than BTW WW?

These albums are being praised on ATRL 24/7 , but none of them outsold BTW. Keep in mind BTW sold 6,000,000 copies in 7 months.

So my question is : Why do u guys shade this album and Gaga when none of your faves outsold it?

I consider Katy Gaga's biggest rival right now. She had one of the most successful singles era of all time, a re-release and she still failed to outsell BTW WW.

TTAL last promo was like 9 months ago.

Because they're pressed that Gaga's supposed "flop" era still outsold all of their faves.

Not to mention the TOUR, all pop girls could DREAM about grossing 180 mil dollars with 100 dates.

Adele had less promo than P!nk and she still sold way more so your argument is not valid.

I always keep this in mind.

Katy had 6 #1 songs, decent promo, a re-release and still failed to outsell her.

If Gaga had so many successful singles in 1 era, that album would have sold at least 10m copies WW.

The debate has nothing to do with promotion. All that matters is the bottom line numbers. Not to dismiss Pink or her album because I love both.

Further, promotion doesn't make sales happen. If that be the case, all of Gaga's songs from BTW era would have been #1 and as you're well aware, they were not. Promotion only ensures exposure, not sales. And further, many posters, perhaps not you, say that good music sells itself and therefore do not need promotion. THUS: The fact that BTW sold more albums would imply that it's the better album (which again is subjective of course but on ATRL the best way to measure quality is by quantitative means).

So, I don't really see why the two albums aren't comparable. And if you want to further push that idea, what other albums could BTW be compared to since its promo schedule was beyond massive?
