Samsung's mobile business head JK Shin has said that the company's next smartphones will feature a 64-bit CPU, according to the Korea Times. The remarks follows Apple's launch of the iPhone 5s, the first handset with a 64-bit, desktop-like processor -- the A7. Saying that Samsung is aware of Apple's ambitions in China, the exec added that a device with such a chip would come "not in the shortest time," but that "our next smartphones will have 64-bit processing capability." Does that mean a Galaxy S 5 flagship will become Samsung's first with the tech? Cue the rumors and speculation. Source

You're right sis, let's forget the fact that Samsung phones have 5 à 5.9 inch Full HD screens with some that even can record ULTRA HD videos, that obviously doesn't require any ram, it's all about the software.

Or the fact that you can literally open two or more apps at the same time next to each other, but that also doesn't require any ram.

Having 4GB of ram is standard in a computer. A phone having that much is more about the fact the device has been designed poorly. Samsung should look at the software and whyit fails, rather than chuck extra ram in it to get it to work.

And they say iPhone never freezes or lag. I can't open more than 5 tabs when browsing this site. This rarely happens with a HIGH END less expensive android phone I've used before. I've made a big mistake. I'm switching back to Android when the nexus five is announced. And keep using apple products as my "toy".

It shouldn't require as much as it uses though.

The iPhone 5S will shoot HD video with an even higher resolution video's with 1GB of ram.
Professional digital video camera's don't need 4GB of ram to shoot ultra HD video's either.

Also, Windows Tabs can run 2 programs side by side and all it needs is 1GB of ram.


Actually, PC's are able to run muliple windows and tabs at once without needing more than 1GB of ram.

That includes HD games running in each window.

My MacBook from Mid 2010 allows me to use the internet with multiple tabs, watch HD video's & skype and it has 2GB of ram.

Not to mention the six or so other apps I leave open.
