Now we all know that the king of pop was and will always be Michael Jackson but what about the prince of pop. Rolling stone has given bruno the title of pop's golden child and critics always describe bruno as the love child between MJ and Prince.
So what do you think?
So far bruno has sold more than 70M records WW, and he has achieved 5 #1s on BB hot 100. He has both of global sales and appeal.
His success is undeniable, as is his talent. However, he is rather basic. No one talks about him in real life and he has no cultural impact...therefore, no. The only time he made somewhat headlines is when he pretended to come out on April Fools
I can't believe some of you are saying he has no star quality. He wouldn't be this huge if he has no star quality.
Bruno's on a right track, he's coming for that major cultural impact. I'd rather see him pacing towards that, than seeing him being huge with his first album and then constantly decline until he can barely make his first single from a new album reach gold status.

He does have star quality, but it isn't a very sparkling one. It's not like Britney Spears where no matter what people are interested in her. It's not his fault though that he didn't debut as a sexualized 16 year old and doesn't do controversial things though.
But he is relatively new. He doesn't have to attain it all at once and with time he may impact culture a bit more, but then at the moment he cannot be called the Prince of Pop.
