It was based on traffic. If it was based on installed browsers then we should have IE on 80-90% Market Share since Microsoft has a 80-90% WW Market Share of Laptops/Computers.
IE sucks, the only reason they still on top is because all PC's come installed with it and people are to damn lazy to install firefox or chrome which are much better browsers
As soon as Ad Block is out for IE10/IE11, I'll be switching.
