As much I'm not agree with him, I do understand a certain point of his opinion. I kinda think that he is thinking that way because of his mother, First sentence he said what his mother told him. And then the part of her talking, it's like she didn't really accept him as a gay.
She does seems to take a big part of his life, and be a little bit over controlling him.
I don't know if I'm clear or not.
