I'm 20, I'm an adult gay male. Someone telling me there's "nothing worse" than me raising a kid is offensive, how is that not blatantly obvious? My 45 year old parents would be offended by this to, as well as my 65 year old grandparents. Its not a maturity issue, its that what he said is BLATANTLY bigoted and offensive.

And no, I don't respect it. I don't respect the opinions of sexists, racists, homophobes, or any other sort of bigot.

And then they internalize that homophobia and bigotry and then project it on the world around them and make statements like these as "just their opinion." It's pathetic.
