Sadly Britney's underperformed with "Blackout" and "Femme Fatale" ...... but I find interesting the fact that "Circus" be one of her most lucrative eras in her entire career.





1) The album found moderate success, it was her best selling studio album since "In the zone", and it even outsold "In the zone" and "Britney" in some countries.

2) it produced the Spears' highest total of singles sales for an album since the "Baby one more time era".

3) "Circus" is Britney's only album to have 2 singles with sales surpassing the 5M mark

4) "Womanizer" could be the second WW biggest selling single of her entire career after "Baby one more time".

5) "The Circus tour" is one of the most successfull tours by a Female of all time. and is one of the 50 highest grossing tours in music history.


Thinking it well and looking at it deeper "Circus" could be one of her 3 most lucrative eras.

Good singles but a mediocre album, reminds me of a better Femme Fatale era.

Underrated indeed. Shame that I became a stan during FF Era, I would of LOVED to have been a part of the Circus era.

Circus is a better album than Femme Fatale. Neither are particularly good though.

It was one of her most lucrative eras because she's from the pre-digital era. If we compare it to The Fame's era, Rihanna's GGGB era, etc, on the other hand.

Not only for the digital sales ... it was also because of the tour, it was a very lucrative era

I find this era overrated by her fans (as anything she does, tbh), but besides Womanizer and the Circus tour I don't think there was anything outstanding from the era. I mean, it's Britney Spears who we're talking about. I expected total domination like during her prime days.

It was amazing to be along with her in the Circus era! So many good memories.

I'm still pressed Phonography, Amnesia, and Quicksand never were put in the standard edition. Flawless songs.

Actually that is what we are discussing here ..... the "Circus era" was more lucrative than "ITZ" and "Britney" eras.

and I don't think we could expect a Britney total domination like during her prime with a 6 studio album and 10 years of career ..... She did super cool having one of her most successfull eras of her career at that time of her career.
