Yes definately. Apple did help revolutionize smartphones but they are now pressed that someone out there actually makes a solid products that people not sheep want to enjoy.

Basically Apple submitted a patent (A grant made by a government that confers upon the creator of an invention the sole right to make, use, and sell that invention for a set period of time ) http://www.thefreedictionary.com/patent Patents can also be ideas. In this case, this idea which has been readily available prior to IPHONE had never been patented but Apple decided to in a way "steal" this idea. Now any one else wanting to use this now-apple idea will be punished.

They werent the first, but since they patented it, they now act like they invented/own this.

Well business is business. Apple is actually very smart for patenting phone number hyperlinking. I'm also definitely sure they are not the first one to do it. I agree about Apple helped revolutionize smartphones. The iPhone will pretty much be credited for the smartphone craze. But as of today, they are behind in terms of innovation, specifications and design. What they have is the brand name called "Apple", with fair competition, they would not sell that much. It's kinda tragic that few people look beyond the brand name nowadays.

That's why I detest Apple.

My "sheep" reference is for humor and should be taken lightly.. Apple iPHONEs are good phones and anyone who wants one should get one.. My gripe isnt that you or him want Iphone over Htc/Samsung/whatever, rather that Apple is attempting to blockade shipments from competitors on a basic idea that they didnt even invent. Thats my concern and yes that is why im madt.

A patent is a patent. This is a BUSINESS, after all.

You have no source whatsoever saying that Apple is holding the phones at customs. Apple doesn't run the government. Do you have any sort of receipts whatsoever that they're being held at customs because Apple has filed a patent claim against the phone?
