Everyone should know she is a talented musician, But she turns people off with her Costumes, Weirdness,Gimmicks etc, And recently being treated as a Madonna copycat.

Lady GaGa was never seen as "untalented." I don't know where the monsters get that from. A few haters on the net or a few individuals in the real world =/= general public.

Was The Fame (Monster) not a massive seller, especially compared to the albums by other pop superstars? She has respect from the general public.

I don't know. The first thing they see are the costumes and weird stuff, not a good voice and piano skills.

To be fair, a lot of people didn't know she can actually sing, though I think that has mostly faded since her debut. I know half of my friends didn't until she sang a few lines of Born this Way at the 2010 VMAs...

I think she would be more respected if it wasn't for the gimmicks, the costumes and all that stuff.

She would get more of it if she stopped being weird. A lot of people just can't get passed her general attitude and oddness to see the talent. If she calmed down then I think she could be seen as talented.

Lol no. The first thing that appears in people' mind is how weird she is, not how much she copies Madonna.

Not like we think, she gets shelved with Britney, Katy, Rihanna, and Kesha by the average person.

I also found that lately Beyonce will be mentioned with that group since the IASF era happened, luckily she was known as a singer first back in her 100% R&B days.

They think she's talented but sadly her antics overshadows her raw talent. They see the weird outfits, the meat dress, the egg. They're not quite sure what to make of her but I think most respect her political views and respect how she raises awareness for various causes like fighting for the gay community.
