All I see on ATRL is Female A vs Female B or threads about females that are the most discussed. Threads about males in music are made, but not as popular. The only popular ones are the ones that are photoshoot threads where people are like "OMG he's soooo hawt".

Why is that? I mean, I know pop is primarily female-run, but there are A LOT of males on the charts too, releasing music weekly that deserve heavy discussion too.

Heck, I'd even be open to some male vs male stan war, to at least add some variety to the endless stan wars on ATRL.

Don't get me wrong, I like that females are so well-talked about here, but I think I raise a valid point.

That's because the Males are the lessers on ATRL and in general. My spawn is due in September though, so expect him to slay in 2030

Maybe in pop. But not everywhere else. There are way more songs with males as the lead artist on the Hot 100 than females. Not sure about worldwide.

But I'm not trying to diss females, because I'm very happy at the woman power in the industry. It seems more fair on the charts than it does on ATRL. ATRL has to be like 80% female discussion/20% male discussion (in a non-sexual way).

Why can't it be more balanced? IDK. I just get tired of the same females being brought up over&over&over&over&over again sometimes. It's like a select group.

Because most of the people here are gay guys and a lot of them tend to idolize these female artists, many of whom are "gay icons."

Because male popstars (excluding Bruno Mars and Michael Buble) tend to have trouble getting the kind of success that their female counterparts can nowadays in the US.

There's not enough males to talk about, and the ones we do have are not consistent. (Taio Cruz, Jay Sean, Bruno Mars, Jason Derulo, Mike Posner) They're not as unique or worthy of attention as the females right now.
