I'm still waiting for the gay male equivalent of our GaGa's and Beyonce's; I need someone who is polarizing and talented as a pop star, has ground-breaking fashion, and is extremely attractive. This man's lyrics wouldn't shy away from speaking to a man, however references to his sexuality wouldn't be offered up like candy.
And that's a goddamn pipe dream.
All I see on ATRL is Female A vs Female B or threads about females that are the most discussed. Threads about males in music are made, but not as popular. The only popular ones are the ones that are photoshoot threads where people are like "OMG he's soooo hawt".
Why is that? I mean, I know pop is primarily female-run, but there are A LOT of males on the charts too, releasing music weekly that deserve heavy discussion too.
Heck, I'd even be open to some male vs male stan war, to at least add some variety to the endless stan wars on ATRL.
Don't get me wrong, I like that females are so well-talked about here, but I think I raise a valid point.
Gay men don't listen to men. It's a truism, but it's also incredibly accurate.
