Mary will place in the Top 5, but we'll still only have FIVE albums over 300,000!
So sad.

I think Beyonce is our only hope, tbh. Maybe Alicia too and possibly Jennifer.

LOL @ Marsha coming for Jennifer. Jennifer is such a non-factor, even in the R&B world.

I can't at he best genre having so bad sales. Our only hopes are Bey and Mary. Bey will probably sell 1 million till the end of the year and let's pray that Mary will sell 500k.

Jennifer is supposed to be this huge Oscar and Grammy Award winning name, smashing the R&B flops out of the game, but that doesn't look like the case here. I like Jennifer, but her numbers for both of her albums are quite mediocre.

Ive never understood how 850,000 for one hit R&B single and one minor minor success is mediocre?

And her numbers are her labels fault who manage her horribly and always release the wrong singles.

i think this is even worse for the Males since Usher went pop and R. Kelly ain't did his thing for a while...

chris & trey are the only ones keeping it alive as of right now

And Chris Brown's starting to go the hip-hop route, so basically it's Trey Songz and like... I dunno Jamie Foxx and T-Pain. =\

Some of the good ones are unknown and the ones who can make it big screw it up lately.

I know I'm not as objective but Keri lets say, could have done way more than the 300k she did with No Boys Allowed but the era was miss-handled...Seems like MJB's era is going down that road only she got more stan base to doubt with high numbers and same goes for Jennifer Hudson.

Either the current R&B players will start gettin' their **** together along with thier labels or the unknown will catch a break but something needs to happen.

Once this dance pop trend in American ends, people will go back to real R&B and hopefully Chris will stop rapping.

R&B used to be my favourite , but since I started listening to techno, I love pop!!

RnB used to be great in the mid 00s. Not so much anymore.
Alicia will save it with her next album though. She'll easily pass 1mil within a few months.

Dont count R&B out yet, there was a time when these type of albums could do upwards of 10 million in the US alone. Just wait for the times to change back around again, music never stays the same.
