Am I the only one who has never understood his popularity? His songs are nothing special and they're just soooo basic. Creative songwriting? no. Interesting production? no. Good look? no. Cool visuals? no. This just boggles my mind. He just dropped his new songs and I think they're just so forgettable and pedestrian but people everywhere are praising them and I'm like nnnn where is the appeal?
I used to despise him, but he's got a lot of good stuff I realized when I gave in.
This but I still think he's quite overrated. He isn't HORRIBLE but he is OK. He is very hit and miss with me. He has put out some of the worst songs in this decade though.
I'm listening to his stuff for the first time ever-- it's good. I am shocked to learn that his album + is the third bestselling album in the UK for the decade. i mean. his music is not bad at all. I'm not sure I quite get the popularity aspect. A different perspective would be nice.
I did at first but I found "x" to be kind of a disappointing sell-out in comparison to "+" but it propelled him to bigger success so slay I guess
I haven't really used him much since 2012 but he's definitely one of the more influential 2010's stars... I mean, Shawn Mendes and Niall Horan's material is basically just teenage watered-down Ed Sheeran lol
You guys literally do this with EVERY male artist, why can't you guys just admit you only pay attention to artists who you can wrap your towel around your head too like hair and wear your mom's heels and strut to
