I keep seeing this all over the Charlotte hashtag with pictures of Martin Luther King, Jr. No matter what we do: protest peacefully or protest violently, ya'll always have a ****ing problem. Why? How tf are we supposed to protest then? With our damn eyes closed in our homes?

So they can poor drinks all over us and run us over with cars, or spray us with high powered hoses?

They dont want us to protest at all. That's the point. They want to live in their magic bubble where everyone has equal opportunity and white privilege and systematic racism doesn't exist. Because it puts pressure on the privileged group to do something since the evidence of inequality is right in their face every day and its getting louder and they are the only one's benefiting from it. They're fed up and angry, not everyone has emotional control when they see things getting worse. Stating that is just simple understanding.

There's a lot of lose even for those who peacefully protest, so is it really so crazy that people see those peacefully protesting getting put down and feel backed into a corner? I don't think so.

Some of you are so stuck on "well it doesn't help" but people say that about even forms of peaceful protesting.
